(2) Plant morphology: In the upper Yangtze River region, plant height is about 107.7 cm and panicle length is about 22.6 cm; in the Wuling Mountain area, plant height is about 111.5 cm and panicle length is about 24.3 cm. (3) Yield traits: In the upper Yangtze River region, the number of effective panicles per mu is about 148,000, with about 184.8 grains per panicle, a seed-setting rate of about 84.9%, and a 1,000-grain weight of about 26.0 g; in the Wuling Mountain area, the number of effective panicles per mu is about 155,000, with about 172.2 grains per panicle, a seed-setting rate of about 85.4%, and a 1,000-grain weight of about 26.6 g. Plant height is 105.9 cm, panicle length is 24.4 cm, with 151,000 effective panicles per mu; each panicle bears 183.3 grains, with a seed-setting rate of 86.9% and a 1,000-grain weight of 26.5 g. Aofuyou 287
Aofuyou 287 is a rice variety bred by Hunan Aopulon Technology Co., Ltd. It meets the national standards for rice variety approval and has been officially approved. This variety is suitable for single-season mid-season rice cultivation in the paddy-growing areas of Sichuan Province’s plains and hilly regions, Guizhou Province (excluding the Wuling Mountain area), the low- and mid-altitude indica rice zones of Yunnan Province, Chongqing Municipality (excluding the Wuling Mountain area) at elevations below 800 meters, and the southern rice-growing region of Shaanxi Province—provided that these areas are free from severe blast disease. Planting is not recommended in regions where blast disease is severely prevalent. The total growth period is 152.0 days; plant height is 122.3 cm; panicle length is 25.5 cm; effective panicles per mu amount to 127,000; 1,000-grain weight is 26.1 g; and grain quality meets the Grade II standard of the agricultural industry. In 2020, the rice produced from this variety won the Silver Award at the Second “Seed Cup” High-Quality Rice Evaluation Competition. In 2024, random inspections of the crop seed market in Xingwen County revealed a germination rate of 92%, moisture content of 11.6%, and compliance with GMO testing requirements. This variety has been designated as a leading agricultural variety for 2025 in Anshun City, Zhenning County, and Shibing County of Guizhou Province, and in the 100-mu ultra-high-yield demonstration plot in Xianjiaba Village, Fucheng District, it achieved the expected yield of 700 kg per mu. In 2024, large-scale cultivation in Dewang Township, Jiangkou County, yielded an average of 1,000 jin per mu, while yield measurements in Yutang Township translated into a dry-weight yield of 645 kg per mu.

When grown as a single-season mid-season rice in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, its total growth period is 151.6 days, which is 2.5 days longer than the control variety F You 498. Plant height is 110.3 cm, panicle length is 23.3 cm, with 135,000 effective panicles per mu; each panicle bears 205.8 grains, with a seed-setting rate of 84.6% and a 1,000-grain weight of 27.5 g. Resistance: the comprehensive blast disease index over two years was 4.8 and 3.8, respectively; the panicle-neck blast damage rating reached the highest level of 7; brown planthopper resistance is rated at level 9. The variety is susceptible to blast but highly susceptible to brown planthopper. It exhibits strong heat tolerance during heading and strong cold tolerance. Key rice quality parameters include: milled rice recovery rate of 59.7%, chalkiness of 2.8%, amylose content of 15.1%, gel consistency of 60 mm, alkali digestion value of 6.8, and length-to-width ratio of 3.5, meeting the Grade II standard stipulated in the agricultural industry’s “Quality Standards for Edible Rice Varieties.”
He Liang You Ao Xiang Si
A two-line hybrid indica rice variety. When grown as a single-season mid-season rice in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, its total growth period is 132.4 days, which is 0.0 days later than the control variety Fengliangyou No. 4. Plant height is 116.2 cm, panicle length is 27.3 cm, with 164,000 effective panicles per mu; each panicle bears 223.1 grains, with a seed-setting rate of 80.9% and a 1,000-grain weight of 21.7 g. Resistance: the comprehensive blast disease index over two years was 4.8 and 3.0, respectively; the panicle-neck blast damage rating reached the highest level of 5; bacterial leaf blight was rated at level 7; and brown planthopper resistance was rated at level 9. The variety shows moderate susceptibility to blast, susceptibility to bacterial leaf blight, and high susceptibility to brown planthopper. Key grain quality parameters include: brown rice yield of 78.6%, milled rice yield of 66.7%, grain length of 6.8 mm, length-to-width ratio of 3.7, chalkiness of 3.0%, translucency of grade 2, alkali digestion value of grade 6.5, gel consistency of 61 mm, and amylose content of 16.2%, meeting the Grade 2 standard stipulated in the agricultural industry standard “Quality of Edible Rice Varieties” (NY/T 593–2021).
Ao Jingxiang
Aojingxiang is a high-quality late-season indica fragrant rice variety developed by Hunan Aopulon Technology Co., Ltd. through hybridization using the maternal line AOR1122 and the paternal line Meixiangzhan No. 2. When grown as a double-cropping late-season rice in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, Aojingxiang has a total growth period of 115.6 days, which is 2.0 days earlier than the control variety Wuyou 308. Plant height is 104.7 cm, panicle length is 23.6 cm, with 201,000 effective panicles per mu; each panicle bears 163.5 grains, with a seed-setting rate of 80.8% and a 1,000-grain weight of 25.2 g. This variety exhibits moderate susceptibility to blast disease, high susceptibility to bacterial leaf blight, high susceptibility to brown planthopper, and only average cold tolerance.
