The whole growth period of late maturing middle rice planted in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River is 150.0 days, 0.7 days shorter than that of the control F You 498. Main indicators of rice quality: head rice rate 63.2%, length width ratio 2.8, chalky grain rate 30%, chalkiness 4.5%, gel consistency 62 mm, amylose content 22.31%, reaching the national standard of high quality level 3.

★ Adaptability
Yield performance: In 2015, the company participated in the production test of expanding the middle indica late maturing group in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, with an average yield of 645.58kg per mu, 6.5% more than the control F You 498; In 2016, the average yield per mu was 642.06 kg, 8.4% higher than that of F You 498; The average yield per mu in the two-year expansion production test was 643.82 kg, 7.4% higher than that of the F You 498.
Resistance: the comprehensive index of rice blast in two years was 4.4 and 3.2 respectively, and the loss rate of ear blast was the highest in five grades; Susceptible to rice blast.

★ Main cultivation measures
1. Planting medium rice in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River in the first and middle of April. The seed consumption per mu of field is 1.0 kg, and the seed consumption per mu of seedling field is 6-7 kg. The seeds are dried before sowing, and the seeds are soaked with strong chlorine concentrate. The management of fertilizer and water is strengthened to cultivate strong seedlings.
2. Transplanting seedling age is 30-35 days, and the row spacing of planting plants is 20 cm × 30cm, double planting, about 70000-80000 seedlings per mu.
3. The level of fertilizer required in the field is medium. More organic fertilizer should be applied, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be properly applied. 30-40 kg of high concentration compound fertilizer should be applied per mu as the base fertilizer. 4-6 kg of urea should be applied per mu as the tillering fertilizer 5-7 days after transplanting. 12-15 kg of potassium chloride should be applied at the jointing and booting stage, and nitrogen fertilizer should be controlled in the middle and late stages.
4. Transplant seedlings and live trees in shallow water. When the total number of seedlings per mu reaches 180000 to 200000, start to drain and dry the field. It is suitable for planting one season of medium rice in the middle and low altitude indica rice areas of Yunnan and Guizhou (except Wuling Mountain Area) and the hilly rice areas of Pingba, Sichuan Province. It is not suitable to plant in areas with severe rice blast.

★ Planting season
In the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, it is suggested to sow rice from March 20 to April 30.
